Breitling and Bentley forged their partnership in 2002, with the first "B for B" branded model appearing as early as 2003. The "Bentley GT" was one of two models launched in 2004. The "GT" designation was inspired by the "Continental GT," the world's fastest coupe unveiled in 2002.

Compared to the first "Bentley Motors" model, this version is more compact (though a 44.8mm diameter is still substantial) and offers significantly improved practicality. It features a bezel engraved with a mesh pattern and a variable tachymeter for calculating average speed under any conditions. While the "Bentley Motors" used a chronograph mechanism that completed a revolution in 30 seconds, this watch is equipped with the "Cal. Breitling 13B," a standard chronograph, and also includes a day-date display, making it suitable for everyday wear.

In addition to stainless steel, cases were also available in 18K yellow gold and 18K white gold. Like other Breitling watches, it offered numerous dial and strap variations, allowing for enjoyable customization. Notably, the dial colors were offered in the same variations as the body colors of the "Continental GT," a detail sure to appeal to owners of that car. Furthermore, fine metallic flakes were mixed into the dial paint to achieve a metallic finish mirroring the car's paintwork – an unprecedented use of metallic color for a watch dial. This demonstrates Breitling's deep admiration for the "Continental GT" and marks this as an epoch-making model.

BRAND HISTORY

The partnership between the esteemed Swiss watchmaker Breitling and the prestigious British car manufacturer Bentley began in 2002. Their first collaboration involved equipping the dashboard of Bentley's renowned sports coupe, the "Continental GT," with a Breitling-made clock.

The following year, Breitling started producing a separate line of watches inspired by Bentley's classic cars. Thus, Breitling for Bentley was born, a fusion of two titans of the sky and the road.

The collection features distinctive models such as the "Bentley Motors," equipped with a high-speed chronograph mechanism completing a dial revolution in 30 seconds; the "Bentley GT," with its metallic dial; and the "Bentley 6.75," which incorporates a big date and chronograph.

With meticulous attention to detail, including Bentley car-specific knurling on the bezel and intricate decoration on the caseback, these robust timepieces have garnered significant attention from both watch enthusiasts and automotive aficionados.

In 2005, two complication models featuring a perpetual calendar and tourbillon were introduced, followed by the rectangular "Flying B" non-chronograph watch in 2006. The brand gradually developed its unique identity, becoming recognized as a distinct marque separate from Breitling.

2007 saw the expansion of the "Flying B" collection, further solidifying the substantial and luxurious styling that is synonymous with Bentley cars.
