Double Face Chronograph
Text by OPENERS
A reversible watch, a Japan-exclusive limited edition of 50 pieces, this is a complete revival of the chronograph introduced at the brand's founding, in both form and function.
The chronograph seconds hands on both the front and back, set through the main plate of the movement and the automatic winding rotor, synchronize perfectly to measure elapsed time.
The dial on the back features three scales: a tachymeter for calculating speed, a telemeter for distance, and a pulsimeter for measuring heart rate.
Automatic winding. 28,800 vibrations per hour. 42-hour power reserve. See-through case back. Case diameter 39.0mm. 18K4N (champagne gold) case. Crocodile strap. ¥3,570,000.

BRAND HISTORY
Founded in 1992 by Franck Muller, one of the most successful independent watchmakers active today.
He was a genius who mastered in one year the skills that normally take three at a Geneva watchmaking school, graduating at the top of his class.
In his first original watch, created in 1986, he developed an innovative tourbillon incorporating a patented new mechanism called 'free oscillation.' The following year, he created a tourbillon with a minute repeater, and in '89, a perpetual calendar, handling numerous complicated timepieces as an individual.
Even after establishing his brand, he developed many new mechanisms that sent shockwaves through the watch world, such as the double jumping hours, retrograde seconds, and the double face chronograph.
Furthermore, in the year of its founding, the brand introduced the 'Tonneau Curvex,' which adopted the elegant tonneau-shaped case that has since become synonymous with Franck Muller, establishing a unique appeal distinct from other brands in terms of design.
Franck Muller continued on its independent path, and in 1995, established the new workshop 'Watchland' in the suburbs of Geneva with the aim of nurturing young talent. That same year, the brand began jointly announcing new products with multiple brands at an annual fair called W.P.H.H.
In 2001, two more buildings were completed on adjacent land, and the number of brands in the group significantly increased by 2007. The brand continues its rapid advance as a leader in the watch industry.
