Further Spec Enhancements Refine Its Majestic Form
Since its debut in 1953, the "Submariner" has grown to become Rolex's representativedive watchmodel. Its evolution continues unabated, with the newly renewed stainless steel "Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date" appearing in 2010. Boasting stability, water resistance, and corrosion resistance, the 40mm stainless steel case features a more robust design, including details on the lugs.
Most notably, the rotating bezel now utilizes Cerachrom, a scratch-resistant material, significantly increasing durability. The model pictured features a green Cerachrom bezel to match the new dial color, known as green gold. Beyond durability, the use of the corporate color adds a vibrant beauty.
The movement is equipped with a Parachrom hairspring, achieving ten times the shock resistance of standard movements, further refining its performance in harsh environments. Additionally, the bracelet's adjustable Glidelock clasp enhances the fit. From the bezel and case to the movement,—this model has achieved further evolution through steady, meticulous spec upgrades throughout.
