A Sports Watch Crafted from Robust, Lightweight Materials

"Conquistador Grand Prix," and "Conquistador Grand PrixChronograph" – If one were to search for words befitting this timepiece, the single word "tough" would undoubtedly suffice. The "Conquistador" collection, which has pursued "dynamism" under the name of "conqueror" through repeated refinements of the brand's signature elegant, three-dimensional tonneau curve case, now presents its latest creations. In the "Conquistador Grand Prix" series, the use of high-tech materials has brought forth a new facet of resilience, essential for a sports watch.

The "Conquistador Grand Prix" was born as an homage to the 2009 F1 race, the "Singapore Grand Prix." While it has now been officially released as a regular model this year, it initially garnered attention for its use of the new material "Alga" for the case. Alga, an alloy of aluminum mixed with magnesium and zinc, evokes the chassis of an F1 car with its substantial feel. This lightweight material, resistant to scratches and with improved corrosion resistance and hardness, is widely used in F1 car bodies and the aerospace industry. Its lustrous finish allows for diverse coloring, enabling the application of striking, vibrant red hues to the robust, massive case. Furthermore, it's worth noting the use of titanium, known for its lightness and rust resistance, alongside Alga. Models combining these high-tech materials achieve ultimate durability, while others feature titanium's unique textured finish, enhancing dark shades like black and gray.

A generous size measuring 57.4mm in height and 38.2mm in width. Sporty details like the applied indices, combined with the delicate "Nouvelle Vague" guilloché decoration, complete Franck Muller's signature modern aesthetic.

The "Tough" Charm That Unfolds with Use

With its large size that envelops the wrist and a case design made more massive by the addition of a new crown guard, this sports watch inherits the dynamism of the "Conquistador" and was conceived in pursuit of a "strength" capable of withstanding any harsh condition. This timepiece is best suited for the wrist of a man who lives life robustly. It's like a fleeting moment in a road movie, on the strong arms of a driver gripping the wheel, on the worn seats of a car shared for years, amidst the undulating bustle of the city seen through the window – its true, resilient charm is revealed through "rough, everyday use." For Franck Muller, who once revolutionized his own journey with the "Conquistador," this watch is a testament to his ongoing pursuit of new challenges.
