This model, which displays world time without hands, is the work of skilled artisans at Louis Vuitton's "La Fabrique du Temps" watchmaking atelier in Geneva. Simply align the desired city name with the stationary yellow arrow, and the outer rotating disc automatically follows. It's a system that allows you to see the time zones of 24 cities at a glance.

Using miniature painting techniques, artisans spend over 50 hours completing a single dial. Each of the 38 colors is meticulously applied with a fine brush, then baked in an oven at 100°C.

Louis Vuitton has always been a brand that sincerely responds to customer customization requests. Services like hand-painting initials or geometric pictograms to personalize trunks are still highly popular today. The vibrant dials of the "Escale" collection showcase this world of customization. The raised paint, and the resulting three-dimensional depth of the dial, are brought to life by the artisan's brushwork.

Further iconic details, inspired by trunks, are incorporated into the lug design. If we consider the watch case as a trunk, these lugs resemble reinforcing elements that protect the watch.

Through the transparent case back, you can see the movement's rotor in action. This is the silver-colored metal part engraved with "LOUIS VUITTON LA FABRIQUE DU TEMPS." The metal parts rotate around the central initial logo – a stylish touch.

This 2016 model, with its blue base making the vivid colors pop even more, is poised to become a coveted item for those of us who never want to lose our sense of wanderlust. The petals, sculpted in three layers from mother-of-pearl, are hand-finished using cameo-making techniques to create their shape and details. Color is then applied to the back of each piece, achieving subtle and nuanced effects.
