Mikimoto Unveils "FISH LETTER," a Content Piece Where Thoughts Transform into Diverse Fish Swimming in the Sea

This initiative focuses on the messaging services we all use daily, aiming to inspire greater appreciation for the ocean's richness and environmental issues. Messages sent to others are rendered as diverse marine life, and as these fish gather, a digital ocean of sentiment takes shape.
On "Umi no Hi," a day to express gratitude for the ocean's bounty and wish for the prosperity of Japan as a maritime nation, we present an interactive, beautiful, and entirely new digital art form to the world. Furthermore, to contribute to the protection and conservation of the marine environment, an additional grant of 60 million yen for marine research has been decided.
Ai Tominaga and Dori Sakurada Also Participate in "FISH LETTER"
Joining this initiative are Ai Tominaga, a globally active fashion model and an Ethical Lifestyle SDGs Ambassador for the Consumer Affairs Agency, and actor Dori Sakurada. Their messages gracefully swim as a dolphin and a ribbonfish, respectively.

This year also marks the 130th anniversary of MIKIMOTO, since founder Kokichi Mikimoto first succeeded in pearl cultivation in 1893.
