Celebrating Tokyo Midtown's 10th Anniversary: "Lucerne Festival Arc Nova 2017 in Tokyo Midtown" to be Held

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, Tokyo Midtown will host "Lucerne Festival Arc Nova 2017 in Tokyo Midtown" from Tuesday, September 19th to Wednesday, October 4th.

The venue, "ARK NOVA," is a colossal mobile concert hall created as a support initiative for the Great East Japan Earthquake recovery.

The project was conceived by the esteemed Swiss music festival, Lucerne Festival, and KAJIMOTO, a Japanese music agency responsible for inviting international orchestras, and designed by the world-renowned architect Arata Isozaki and British sculptor Anish Kapoor.

Standing 18 meters high, 30 meters wide, and 36 meters deep, with a seating capacity of 494, ARK NOVA was exhibited a total of three times in three locations—Matsushima, Sendai, and Fukushima—between 2013 and 2015.

It hosted concerts and workshops, attracting a total of 19,000 attendees.

This autumn, six and a half years after the earthquake, ARK NOVA makes its appearance at Tokyo Midtown.

Various events will be held.

Don't miss this limited 16-day exhibition.
