Nine new works expressing real phenomena extracted from nature and living creatures are now on display

The world is full of wonder ~ The thoughts behind the new "WONDER MOMENTS" ~

The new "WONDER MOMENTS" is a dynamic, experiential installation where a 360-degree spherical projection, approximately 5 meters in diameter, synchronizes with floor projections of about 8 meters, enveloping viewers in a fantastical world of sound and light.
Over the past few years, various social conditions and changes in the global environment have increasingly prompted us to consider the importance of diversity, connection with nature, and experiences. From this emerged the thought: "The world is full of wonder." The work primarily features realistic phenomena extracted from nature and living beings—such as the movement of water, scenes of jellyfish and fish swimming, and celestial bodies like the moon and sun—elevated into universal, primitive visual art through Takahiro Matsuo's unique perspective.

To commemorate the launch of the new "WONDER MOMENTS," original drinks and special collaboration items are available at the museum cafe and shop. Additionally, as a celebratory event for the new installation, a perfume-making experience themed around natural scents, "Let's Make Wonderful Scents," will be held leading into summer. Applications for the event will open on the official NIFREL website from June 21 (Wed) at 2:00 PM.
