Cool Karuizawa: Harmonizing Mind and Body with Summer Vegetables and Hot Springs

Hoshinoya Karuizawa will host "Karuizawa Vegetable Comfort Stay" for a limited time from June 15 to August 10, 2019. This is a three-day, two-night program designed to harmonize the body's rhythms with hot springs and summer vegetables, experienced without air conditioning.

The "Karuizawa Vegetable Comfort Stay" program leverages the cool summer climate of Karuizawa, allowing guests to experience meals featuring over 30 types of vegetables, various activities, and spa treatments while staying amidst nature without air conditioning. The aim is to naturally cool the body from within through diet and to restore disrupted bodily rhythms with hot spring soaks.

Relax and unwind with spa treatments combined with hot spring soaks, or a foot treatment amidst dappled sunlight. After your bath, enjoy vegetable water to hydrate your body while replenishing it with nutrients like vitamins and potassium. Savor the local Shinshu specialty, "Oshibori Soba," and a kaiseki meal featuring an abundance of over 30 types of vegetables. On the morning of the third day, take a short trip to a vegetable field, where you can gaze upon the vast, open landscape as summer produce ripens.
