This Golden Week, head to the "You Too Are a Wonderful Creature! Exhibition," where both children and adults can have fun!

Nifrel, the "living museum" produced for the first time by Kaiyukan, offers a unique concept of "touching your senses." This facility, a fusion of an aquarium, zoo, and art museum, is currently hosting the "You Too Are a Wonderful Creature! Exhibition."

The exhibition, themed around "commonalities between living things and humans," features free and fun works created by the popular creative unit tupera tupera, along with a "Wonderful Creature Workshop." It's a special, interactive experience designed to help visitors reflect on their own individuality while recognizing the unique traits of various creatures, leading to a "touching yourself" moment.

The exhibition space was designed by minna, a design team that also handled the creative direction for the touring exhibition "tupera tupera's Kaoten." They were responsible for everything from graphics to spatial design, incorporating delightful elements throughout Nifrel that connect creatures, artworks, and visitors.

In the workshop, participants can create masks by freely combining "creature parts" drawn by tupera tupera, and then wear these masks as they explore the museum. Additionally, a photo spot allows visitors to take pictures inside aquariums, making them realize they are unexpectedly transitioning from "observers" to "observed."

Artworks that surprise and amuse, evoking a connection between creatures and people.

In the first exhibition area, "Touching Colors," the aquatic creatures introduce themselves and share messages with visitors.
The main area, "Touching Skills," showcases ten large-scale new works by tupera tupera titled "Similar? Very Similar!" These pieces humorously highlight the commonalities between creatures and humans. You might even discover a work that uncannily resembles yourself or someone you know.

The museum also features a cafe, "EAT EAT EAT," where visitors can enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere as if they were outdoors. For a limited time, they are offering a special food menu in collaboration with the "You Too Are a Wonderful Creature! Exhibition."

Furthermore, the museum shop "NIFREL×NIFREL" sells "wonderful" merchandise, including original T-shirts, clear files, and masking tape featuring tupera tupera's artwork, allowing visitors to take a piece of the exhibition home. These items are perfect as souvenirs of your Nifrel visit, gifts for family and friends, or a treat for yourself.
Nifrel offers a full day of enjoyment. It's definitely a facility to add to your list for this Golden Week.
