Introducing "ID47", a New Gift Brand Combining the Uniqueness of All 47 Prefectures

A new gift brand, "ID47" (pronounced eye-dee-yon-na-na), has been launched by MI Food Style, a company that operates 17 supermarkets primarily in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Queens Isetan. The brand proposes new gifts that combine specialty ingredients from all 47 prefectures of Japan.

"ID47" by MI Food Style is a gift brand imbued with the spirit of regional revitalization, capturing the unique identity of each area through its local specialty ingredients and techniques, and combining them to create new flavors.
With the concept of "Making the characteristics of each prefecture a source of pride in Japanese gifts," MI Food Style is developing gift products that combine carefully selected regional ingredients, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative manufacturing methods, discovered through their unique perspective.
On October 10th (Wednesday), the first wave of products will be released: eight types of gift sets featuring Japanese and Western confections. These include sponge cakes from MI Food Style's private brand "Cible" using Kyoto matcha and Okinawan brown sugar, leaf pies from "LeTAO" made with Hokkaido wheat and butter, and chocolate-covered rice crackers from "Nihonbashi Karyo" using brown rice from Hokkaido, Akita, and Yamagata.
In the future, the brand plans to expand its categories beyond Japanese and Western confections.

The development team, having experienced a variety of ingredients both domestically and internationally, has pursued flavors and textures that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people while making the most of Japanese ingredients. These gifts are also recommended as souvenirs for travelers visiting Japan from abroad.

The brand's logo draws inspiration from the vertical writing style unique to Japanese, expressing the idea of 47 prefectures proudly presenting their identities. Furthermore, the design incorporates the Japanese flag, evoking "Japan" at first glance, and imagery of Mt. Fuji, a symbol of Japan.
