New Art Exhibition "ShimoumArt REVISITED - 8 Years After" Featuring 14 Contemporary Japanese Artists

At "shop ASPLUND ebisu," a curated selection of furniture and interiors from around the world, a new art exhibition will be held from May 17 (Thursday) to 27 (Sunday). Dr. Georg Albrecht Mai, a Danish contemporary art collector residing in Japan, has gathered 14 contemporary Japanese artists to present their new works.

The group exhibition "ShimoumArt REVISITED - 8 Years After" reflects ShimoumArt, an art exhibition that began eight years ago at the restaurant Gardenn Kitchen in Shimouma and has since been held in various locations. Based on Dr. Georg Albrecht Mai's idea of "art in daily life," 14 artists will exhibit a diverse range of new works, from photographs to paintings and sculptures.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience art up close!

*During the exhibition, an event titled "Furniture and Art" will be held, where visitors can engage in art appreciation while conversing with the artists.

[About ShimoumArt]
ShimoumArt is a joint exhibition of emerging contemporary artists initiated by Dr. Georg Albrecht Mai, an art collector, curator, and art historian, at "gardenn," a cozy cafe in the Shimouma area.
With the motto "Art should be a part of life," it has been held since 2010 to create opportunities for people to encounter art in more accessible settings, rather than solely in galleries or museums.
