Solo exhibition "CLEAN ROOM: The Story of a Clean and Empty Room" by Kei Uruno, winner of the Grand Prize at "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2023 MYNAVI ART AWARD"

The second exhibition at the newly established "MYNAVI ART SQUARE (MASQ)" on the 22nd floor of the Ginza Kabukiza Tower features a solo exhibition by Kei Uruno, winner of the Grand Prize at "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2023 MYNAVI ART AWARD."

"ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO" is an art fair where artists themselves handle everything from planning to exhibiting, aiming to expand their stage to the next level with an eye on the global market. The "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2024" has also recently announced its upcoming dates (March 1-3, 2024).

Kei Uruno's solo exhibition, titled "CLEAN ROOM: The Story of a Clean and Empty Room," reinterprets "MYNAVI ART SQUARE (MASQ)" through the metaphor of a "room," beginning with the deconstruction and re-reading of its functions as a space.
A "room" is a "closed space" that contains specific functions and characteristics. It can also be seen as a "component of an open structure" that not only represents the room itself but also symbolizes various situations and states, such as the people belonging to it and the society surrounding them, pointing to the existence of a larger space or society beyond its confines. MASQ, a "functional room with no waste from the moment it was created," serves as the motif. What constitutes this "room"? In this exhibition, titled "CLEAN ROOM," the elements are disassembled like parts. Like assembling a machine without instructions, the exhibition attempts to imagine the world outside by abstracting and deconstructing these elements, creating a story of a clean, certain room.

We encourage you to visit this solo exhibition by Kei Uruno, the Grand Prize winner. Also, look forward to the Artists' Fair, which is expanding artistically across art exhibitions and art fairs.
