A pop-up event featuring folk crafts and specialty products from across Kyushu, directed by Takashi Kumagai.
CPCM, a craft and culture shop directed by Takashi Kumagai, will host a limited-time POP-UP event titled "CPCM Kyushu Fair," featuring folk crafts and specialty products from across Kyushu, from Saturday, June 3rd to Sunday, June 18th.
A curated selection of items from Kyushu's folk crafts and specialty products will be available at CPCM.
Among them, the Otafuku and Fukusuke dolls from the Tsukuzaki Tsuyazaki Doll Studio, which will be available this time, are exquisite pieces that showcase an indescribable charm and the artisan's skill.
Also featured are "Moma-bue," clay whistles shaped like owls.
The Moma-bue from Tsuyazaki have been cherished locally for a long time, with a tradition that says blowing the Moma-bue while eating widens the airway, preventing food from getting lodged in the throat.
Additionally, we will have Dutch ovens from READYMADE PRODUCTS, a factory brand established in 2014 by Izumi Yoshida as part of the Yoshida Woodwork Factory in Hirokawa Town, Yame District, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The lineup also includes a rich array of specialty products and exquisite gourmet items beloved by locals across Kyushu, such as famous Yamaya dashi (broth) and motsunabe soup, sweets, and soy sauce and ponzu from Hamada Shoyu in Kumamoto.
This is a noteworthy fair where you can experience the charm of Kyushu.
