Tiger Corporation's 101st year of dedication. Introducing the "Tsuchi-gama Go-houbi-daki JRX-G100/G060," their top-tier model, meticulously crafted with a genuine clay pot.
Tiger Corporation, a global leader in thermal control technology, has released its top-tier "Tsuchi-gama Go-houbi-daki JRX-G100/G060" model, part of its "Go-houbi-daki" series, on June 21, 2024.
Since its founding, Tiger Corporation has focused on "heat control technology," dedicating itself to mastering the "temperature" crucial for cooking rice. This long journey has led to the "Go-houbi-daki" method. Much of the rice served in high-end restaurants is cooked in clay pots, which, through intense heat and bubbling, achieve a deep sweetness and perfectly distinct grains. This is the ideal rice Tiger Corporation has strived to create over its 101-year history.
The newly released "Tsuchi-gama Go-houbi-daki JRX-G100/G060" features an evolved "Do-nabe" (clay pot inner pot), the heart of a clay pot rice cooker. For the first time, Tiger Corporation has incorporated heat-retaining volcanic ash into the base of the clay pot, creating a synergistic effect with the "300℃ W Layer IH※1" for powerful heat. The glaze applied to the inner pot has also been refined to enhance far-infrared effects. By combining the intense heat and bubbling of the clay pot with innovations that efficiently transfer heat to the rice, this inner pot delivers rice with even deeper sweetness and perfectly distinct grains.
Tiger Corporation's "101st Year of Dedication," born from an unwavering commitment to the inner clay pot. Tiger Corporation's pursuit of deliciousness continues.

▼ The "Do-nabe" with its "Far-Infrared Glaze" and "Volcanic Ash-Infused IH Heating Element" enhances the "300℃ W Layer IH※1."
To further enhance the far-infrared effect characteristic of clay pots, a newly developed glaze containing iron and cobalt has been adopted, allowing for fluffier rice.
As a first for Tiger Corporation, "Shirasu Balloon," made from volcanic ash sourced from the Shirasu Plateau, is kneaded into the heating element at the base of the inner clay pot using a special mixing technique. Furthermore, by adding a material with high heat retention that pairs well with the heating element, the effects of the "300℃ W Layer IH※1"—Tiger's highest ever heating temperature of approximately 300℃—are maximized. This effectively transfers heat to the rice, successfully bringing out its sweetness and distinct grain texture. Compared to previous models, sweetness has increased by 108.5%※2, and elasticity by 105%※3.
Moreover, the inner clay pot is highly durable, approximately twice as strong※4 as conventional clay pots, which are generally prone to cracking. In the unlikely event of an issue, a 5-year warranty is provided for inner pot cracks and non-stick coating peeling, ensuring peace of mind.

▼ "Heat" The "300℃ W Layer IH※1" Achieves Overwhelmingly Powerful Heat.
Clay pots possess high heat retention, allowing them to heat rice at significantly higher temperatures than metal pots. The JRX model, Tiger's top-tier rice cooker, utilizes the heat retention of the clay pot and the newly adopted "300℃ W Layer IH※1" structure to achieve Tiger's highest ever cooking temperature of approximately 300℃※5.
The "300℃ W Layer IH※1" employs a dual-layer IH coil structure at the base. The first layer of heating coils seamlessly wraps around the bottom of the pot, transferring heat uniformly throughout. This dual-layer design generates high heat and replicates the temperature difference of flames when cooking rice directly over a fire. By leveraging the slow heat transfer properties of the clay pot, it creates intense yet gentle thermal convection, driven by the temperature difference between the top and bottom, to maximize the rice's sweetness and cook it rapidly.
Furthermore, thanks to the clay pot's properties, it achieves approximately four times※6 the far-infrared effect of metal pots, gently heating the rice to its core and drawing out its umami.
※5 For JRX-G100, approximately 300℃ when cooking 4 cups of "White Rice" on "Crispy" setting with "Strong" heat control. ▼ "Bubbles" Unique to clay pots, fine and gentle bubbling cooks rice without damaging the grains, enhancing their distinct texture.
Intense convection can damage the surface of rice grains, leading to a sticky texture or causing starch to leach out from the damaged surface, reducing the rice's flavor. The "Go-houbi-daki" method cooks rice using the fine, gentle bubbles generated from the clay pot's surface.
By enveloping the rice grains with these clay pot bubbles during cooking, their surfaces are less likely to be damaged. This preserves the rice's firmness and gloss, further enhancing the distinctness of each grain. Without compromising the rice's umami, rich flavor, or texture, it's now possible to achieve the ideal, glossy, and perfectly textured rice served in high-end restaurants.

▼ Other Features.
・【New Feature】"Ohitsu Preservation" maintains the aroma and elasticity of rice.
"Ohitsu Preservation" is inspired by traditional wooden rice containers that maintain rice by controlling air and moisture, akin to "breathing." After cooking, the "Haritsuya Pump" introduces outside air to release excess heat and steam. A temperature sensor at the base of the unit determines when this "breathing" is necessary, finely controlling humidity. This suppresses odors and yellowing, preserving the freshly cooked taste. The JRX-G model enhances this by increasing the amount of air circulated within the cooker compared to previous models, improving preservation quality and achieving humidity control closer to that of a restaurant's ohitsu.
・"One-Go Ryoriten-gami" (1-Cup Restaurant-Style Cooking) Perfected for a Single Bowl.
When cooking just one cup (1-go) of rice in a standard rice cooker, the large cooking space can prevent heat from distributing evenly among the grains. The "One-Go Ryoriten-gami" uses a special inner lid for the clay pot to reduce the cooking space, ensuring even heat distribution and resulting in fragrant, sweet rice. It accommodates a single bowl (0.5-go) and mixed rice dishes, allowing you to enjoy freshly cooked rice as if from a high-end restaurant.
・Uncompromising Ease of Use and Maintenance.
The "Large White Backlight LCD" features a large touch panel with big characters for easy operation. Maintenance is simplified to just two parts: the inner pot and the inner lid, which are easy to remove.
The "Magnetic Detachable Inner Lid" offers a stress-free user experience, snapping securely onto the main unit when released. The inner lid is also dishwasher-safe, reflecting a commitment to daily ease of care.
