Hidetoshi Nakata and J-WAVE present the entertainment restaurant "J-WAVE NIHONMONO LOUNGE," opening July 14!
J-WAVE Co., Ltd. will open "J-WAVE NIHONMONO LOUNGE" on July 14 (Tuesday) at a special venue in front of Takanawa Gateway Station on the JR Yamanote Line, an event that was postponed due to the spread of coronavirus infections.
The venue will be held with thorough measures in place, prioritizing the health and safety of visitors and staff. To prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infections, preventive measures will be implemented, including the installation of "sake brewery-produced Japanese sake alcohol disinfectant," advance reservations for entry, admission restrictions, disinfection of venue facilities, staff wearing masks, and ensuring social distancing.
What is "J-WAVE NIHONMONO LOUNGE"?
"J-WAVE NIHONMONO LOUNGE" is an "entertainment restaurant" born from a collaboration between Hidetoshi Nakata, who has an in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture, and J-WAVE.
Hidetoshi Nakata, former captain of the Japan national football team, who has traveled to all 47 prefectures, is deeply knowledgeable about Japanese culture, including sake, and continues to promote its appeal worldwide, serves as director. This event collaborates with "CRAFT SAKE WEEK," one of the world's largest "SAKE" events hosted by Nakata, which has been held four times previously.
In addition to enjoying carefully selected Japanese sake from all over Japan according to themes, special menus that can only be tasted here, supervised by top Japanese restaurants that are difficult to reserve, will be offered. A shop called "NIHONMONO TOKYO," featuring Japanese crafts collected by Nakata during his travels across the country, is also planned to open.
Furthermore, from 12:30 PM on weekdays, the program "YEBISU BEER BEGINNINGS ~FROM TAKANAWA GATEWAY~" will be broadcast live from the venue. Chefs from restaurants participating in J-WAVE NIHONMONO LOUNGE, sake brewers, musicians, creators, and other next-generation leaders in Tokyo will be invited as guests for a live public broadcast.
Please look forward to a content-rich experience featuring the charm of Japan, encompassing pairings of selected sake and exquisite dishes, crafts, and entertainment, with experts from each genre.
1. Coronavirus Infection Control Measures
In order to hold the event safely and securely, we will implement the following preventive measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections.
① As part of the measures to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus infections, "Japanese sake alcohol disinfectant" developed by Japanese sake breweries will be installed at the venue.
② Seating will be spaced to ensure social distancing between groups. Acrylic partitions will be installed between groups to prevent droplet transmission.
③ To avoid closed, crowded, and close-contact environments, entry will be limited and by advance reservation only.
④ Staff will wear masks, thoroughly wash and disinfect their hands, and undergo temperature checks.
⑤ Thorough disinfection of venue facilities (including those that may come into contact with guests) will be carried out.
⑥ The ventilation system in the building will be operated to its maximum capacity, and ventilation will be enhanced by regularly opening doors.
2. 159 Renowned Sake Breweries from Across Japan Gather at Takanawa Gateway!
Hidetoshi Nakata, who has traveled across Japan and visited over 400 sake breweries, along with sake sommeliers, has tasted and carefully selected the finest sake from 159 breweries for this year's lineup.
During the event, approximately 20 breweries will rotate weekly, each showcasing their recommended brands. Weekly themes will be set to help visitors find their preferred sake, allowing them to enjoy a diverse range of premium Japanese sake.
