Reimagining Light from a Lampshade with Technology Art

Accompanying agnès b.'s holiday message, "belles fêtes!!" (Happy Holidays!!), "Turning Light Photophore by NAKED" is a piece of technology art adorning the agnès b. Aoyama store's Christmas window display.

Inspired by the visual of "light spilling from a lampshade," which agnès b. has chosen as the theme for this holiday season, the artwork evokes the childhood joy of playing with a lamp's pull cord. It uses a pseudo-hologram to create the illusion of a floating lamp object and imagery, expressing the gentle sway of light.

Behind the warm, analog-like light display lies programming that synchronizes the pseudo-hologram projection equipment with the lamp objects and the holographic visuals. This represents a new challenge: creating an analog light experience through contemporary technology.
