Perfume Making, Concerts, Nature Walks, and More!

During this special period, a variety of events will be held.

The program includes a "Summer Children's Art Appreciation Session" where museum curators and children engage in dialogue at eye level to foster creative thinking, a lecture by leading Picasso scholar Professor Ootaka discussing how Pablo Picasso confronted the anxieties of the 1930s, a time overshadowed by the looming threat of World War II in Europe, using the power of art, and a "Discover the Brilliance of Picasso! Picasso Talk!" session where curators from the Hakone Open-Air Museum and Pola Museum of Art discuss the allure of Picasso's works. These unique events are packed with highlights.

Additionally, there's a "Summer Children's Nature Walk" where participants can stroll along sun-dappled forest paths with nature guide staff knowledgeable about local flora and fauna, a "Summer Craft Experience: Decorate Your Own Frame" workshop where children can decorate frames inspired by Picasso's paintings, a perfume-making workshop, and a concert by Spanish Connection performing flamenco music. The schedule is brimming with activities for children to enjoy.
