The theme for "Veuve Clicquot In the Snow" is "Hygge." It's an elegant, special space and hospitality, a Danish concept meaning 'a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life with good people.'

Appearing in Niseko, a popular snow resort attracting tourists from Japan and abroad, is the limited-time outdoor pop-up lounge "Veuve Clicquot In the Snow Hygge Lounge." Located at the Hirafu Kreuz Street, the heart of the Hirafu area in Niseko, amidst a world of white, this cozy lounge, nestled within a Nordic-style tent illuminated by warm yellow lights, offers Veuve Clicquot and exquisite food pairings.

This is a special opportunity to savor original Hokkaido-inspired dishes supervised by Takeshi Nagashima, owner-chef of "81" in Hiroo, Tokyo, such as "Hot Kutchan Potato Frites with Niseko Raclette" and "Ezo Deer Pie."

Takeshi Nagashima
Born March 2, 1979
Born to a Japanese father and a Taiwanese mother. Loves nature and art. Began cooking at 15 and worked in the galley of a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force escort ship from age 18. After his service, he worked in restaurants in Kanagawa and Tokyo before moving to Europe. Spent his 20s in Italy and Spain. Participated in el Bulli in 2008, serving as a section chef, before returning to Japan. Opened "81" in Hiroo, Tokyo, in 2012.
