Mahoko Kubota × Yasuhiko Hayashi: "Kyoto Art Lounge - The Culture of Buying Art" Participant Applications Now Open

Kyoto Prefecture hosts "Kyoto Art Lounge," a space for engaging with emerging artists connected to the city.

This installment features a presentation of works by eight emerging young artists selected under the direction of Yasuhiko Hayashi of the art unit PARADISE MOUTH, alongside a lecture by Mahoko Kubota of Mahoko Kubota Gallery and Yasuhiko Hayashi on "The Culture of Buying Art." The session will explore the recent changes in the art market and how diverse buyers can expand artists' careers. Following the lecture and artist presentations, there will be an informal reception with speakers, artists, and attendees.

Why not enjoy a delicious drink at a Starbucks overlooking the Kamo River's outdoor dining platforms, listen to a talk session by a gallerist and two artists, and connect with the artists?

As a related event, a limited-time group exhibition featuring the eight presenting artists will be held at "Seishun Garo Chiho," a gallery operated by Yasuhiko Hayashi.
