Veuve Clicquot Launches a Global Creative Program

MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo Inc.'s brand, Veuve Clicquot, is launching "Veuve Clicquot The New Makers," a program designed to deliver inspiration and foster community through collaborations with "New Makers"—creators active in all creative fields worldwide.

First Collaboration: Chef Mikio Morieda, a Leader in the Food Scene

Veuve Clicquot's mission is to share life's dreams and joys with people, proposing exciting "colors" to enrich lifestyles. "Veuve Clicquot The New Makers" is a program that aims to disseminate information that makes people's lives more exciting and to form a unique community where "New Makers" gather, by collaborating with creators who think outside existing rules and codes, act with innovative ideas, and strive to surpass their own limits in creative fields such as culture, art, fashion, and gastronomy.

The first program in Japan focuses on New Makers active in gastronomy, collaborating with talented individuals who bring new creativity to food. For this inaugural event, we feature Chef Mikio Morieda, who is shaping the current food scene and creating diverse culinary experiences.

He is a highly talked-about figure, known for the restaurant "Salmon & Trout," which impressed many gourmands. Currently, he is the chef at "CHOMPOO" in Shibuya PARCO, which garnered attention even before its opening. He is also an active member of "Chefs for the Blue," a group of chefs dedicated to promoting sustainable seafood, and energetically engages in producing.

This collaboration proposes unique, simple, and creative home-pairing recipes that allow people to enjoy colorful culinary experiences with Veuve Clicquot, especially now when people are focusing on time spent at home.

Stay tuned for "Veuve Clicquot The New Makers," a program from Veuve Clicquot, with more collaborations to be announced.

"I've been involved in food from various perspectives, regardless of genre. I often find meaning in highlighting the value of 'ingredients that are overlooked,' but at the same time, I'm also paying attention to the appeal of 'consistently high quality' that endures over time. I believe that's the timeless value that transcends eras. I would be delighted to discover and share new facets of Veuve Clicquot."

[About Veuve Clicquot]
Since its founding in Reims, France, in 1772, the Champagne house Veuve Clicquot has brought bold color to people's lives. Transcending Champagne, Veuve Clicquot embodies an attitude of effervescent joie de vivre, expressed through the Maison's signature vibrant yellow, reminiscent of sunshine.

In 1805, Madame Clicquot, known as "La Grande Dame" of the Champagne region for her boldness and innovative spirit, took over the management of the Maison. Soon after, Madame Clicquot, who demonstrated exceptional business acumen, became an early career woman in an era when it was rare for women to enter the business world.

She cultivated an exceptional Maison culture, with her motto being "Only one quality: the finest." Her passion, vision, and innate French art de vivre continue to live on within the Maison that bears her name today. Veuve Clicquot spreads joy through its exceptional Champagnes, including the iconic Yellow Label, and through delightful experiences worldwide.
