Adidas Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshihiko Hashiba) has launched "HEAT. RDY," training wear equipped with Adidas's highest cooling function, designed to keep the body cool even in hot summer conditions. The "READY" technology, featured in "HEAT. RDY," is comprised of four types tailored to different environments, and will be released sequentially in line with seasons and sport categories.

Introducing "HEAT. RDY": Training Wear with Superior Breathability, Quick-Drying, and Cooling Properties to Keep Athletes Cool This Summer

Training wear "HEAT. RDY" was developed with the goal of enabling athletes to perform at their best even in hot summer conditions. This apparel is equipped with "HEAT. RDY," a cooling function of the same name, which is one of Adidas's new all-weather "READY" technologies. Through new materials and an innovative design concept, it promotes breathability, quick-drying, and cooling, guiding athletes comfortably through the rise in body temperature before, during, and after performance. Its heat-dissipating function keeps the body cool and comfortable, supporting athletes' training.

Furthermore, the "HEAT. RDY" cooling function will be featured in the apparel worn by athletes from around the world at the biggest sporting events taking place in Japan this summer, including the Japan National Football Team's 2020 uniform. It will be adopted for the national uniforms of the UK, Germany, Ethiopia, and Hungary, as well as for the uniforms of Adidas-sponsored athletes and teams globally.

The global campaign "STAY READY - Imagine the Moment." has been launched.
Top Athletes Including Takefusa Kubo and Kokoro Miura Unveil Global Movie Embodying the Concept of "HEAT. RDY"

Before facing crucial moments, athletes often encounter various mental hurdles, such as pressure, high expectations, the fear of failure, and concerns about injury. The "HEAT" in "HEAT. RDY" signifies not only the heat of summer temperatures but also these mental barriers athletes face. To overcome these, athletes dedicate immense time to preparation, both physically and mentally. This campaign focuses on athletes during their preparation period, highlighting the true strength inherent in that process.
"STAY READY" means being in a state of constant preparedness. It proves that true strength lies in constantly imagining the moment to come, turning all unforeseen circumstances into expected ones. This is demonstrated by various athletes from around the world.
Representing Japan are Takefusa Kubo, a player for the Japan National Football Team, and professional climber Kokoro Miura, who have been selected as faces of the global campaign. They are joined by other world-renowned athletes facing major competitions this summer, including the exceptionally talented US sprinters Noah Lyles (100m, 200m), British long jumper Jazmin Sawyers, and 19-year-old boxing world champion Caroline Dubois.

The global campaign movie, released today, embodies "STAY READY - Imagine the Moment." for this summer's heightened sporting fervor, depicting top athletes training with immersive sound.

All-Weather Technology "READY" Comes in 4 Types

In addition to the summer cooling function "HEAT. RDY" featured in the training wear released today, the all-weather "READY" technology is composed of four types tailored to different environments. Developed to protect athletes from constantly changing external conditions, "HEAT. RDY" keeps you cool even in the heat. Following this, "COLD. RDY" will be released in Fall/Winter 2020 to maintain warmth on cold days, "WIND. RDY" to protect athletes from wind, and "RAIN. RDY" to keep you dry in the rain, all to be released sequentially. Adidas will continue to launch various products equipped with READY technology in line with seasons and sport categories.
