Challenging Sportswear Norms: The adidas Athletics SS 20 Collection Arrives
Adidas Japan K.K. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yoshihiko Hashiba) has launched a new campaign featuring musician ComUmi, coinciding with the release of the adidas Athletics SS20 collection, starting Thursday, February 6, 2020.
■ Three styles that redefine sportswear have arrived
With the concept of “The Time for Change,” three styles that break away from conventional sportswear have been introduced.
Created for young generations seeking both function and fashion trends, this collection is comprised of three styles – TECH/STYLE, URBAN, and SPORTS – rooted in sports culture, featuring a total of 60 items.
TECH/STYLE: Enjoying a mode-sport look
TECH/STYLE offers a lineup of highly fashionable items that allow you to enjoy a mode-sport look, expressing the fusion of technology and sports.
The key item, the "Woven Long Jacket" with its distinctive silhouette, creates a stylish appearance.
URBAN expresses the fusion of sports and street culture, featuring items like the "URBAN VRCT Tiger Woven Jacket" with its distinctive ethnic tribal patterns inspired by Muay Thai, and other items that express creativity and individuality. SPORTS, inspired by uniforms embodying team spirit, introduces new colors for the modern stadium jacket "VRCT Jacket" which debuted last season, as well as the "Sport Dress" characterized by traditional team color schemes. Bold prints, unique embroidery, and innovative silhouettes make new styles possible.
