Tuna Sushi Served at Paul Smith Roppongi? A Season Launch Event for the Spring/Summer 2018 Collection "OCEAN"!
On February 16th and 17th, 2018, Paul Smith Roppongi will host "Paul Smith × Tuna Sushi in OCEAN," a limited-time event celebrating the launch of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
The Spring/Summer 2018 collection, "OCEAN," was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week last June and has since garnered significant attention in Japan. Inspired by the sea, it features designs of fish, canned goods, tuna, and mackerel.
This event centers around the motif of "fish," inspired by the Spring/Summer "OCEAN" collection.
In addition to showcasing the new Spring/Summer collection, an sushi counter will be set up, where a sushi chef will offer a limited quantity of tuna sushi.
The 2018 Spring/Summer OCEAN Series
The Spring/Summer 2018 collection is themed around the sea, "OCEAN." The signature Paul Smith touch is evident in the OCEAN print, which combines classic Hawaiian motifs with a modern twist, incorporating Japanese flowers, koi, and colorful underwater coral.
Designer Paul Smith, adhering to his design philosophy that "inspiration can be found in anything," drew upon memories of his strolls through Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market. He combined graphics inspired by fish and packaging, such as canned goods, to create prints of tuna and mackerel.
These prints are used as accents on shirts, T-shirts, and leather bags.
