Product Features
Vision that allows focus on play
By suppressing light intrusion and utilizing a highly adjustable nose pad structure, we ensure a "vision that allows focus on play." This maintains clear sight and aids in sustained concentration.
Fit that allows focus on play
Equipped with freely adjustable temples, we achieve a "fit that allows focus on play." This provides a stress-free wearing experience.
Flexibility tailored to the situation
The new products feature "flexibility tailored to the situation," allowing users to freely choose lenses and frames according to the weather or their mood for the day.
Eyewear that Protects While You Attack: Featuring High-Visibility "ULTRA LENS"
The request originated from pro golfer Ryo Ishikawa
The lens research and development began with Ryo Ishikawa's desire to "follow the ball with my eyes as it disappears into the blue sky on a driver shot." The goal was to enhance the visibility of the ball against the backdrop of the golf course scenery, making it easier to track.
Joint Research with Kindai University
Through joint research with Associate Professor Ichiro Katayama of the Faculty of Biology-Originated Science and Engineering at Kindai University, we developed lenses that improve color rendering and contrast compared to the naked eye, making golf balls easier to see. While emphasizing the ball, the visual field color remains natural and easy on the eyes, reducing eye strain even during prolonged wear.
Comment from Pro Golfer Ryo Ishikawa on SWANS Eyewear
"The ball is easier to see, of course, but being able to see it clearly allows me to play with a calm mind. The best thing about SWANS products is that you barely feel them when you're wearing them, which is why I've been a loyal user for many years."
Advisory Staff Collaborating on ULTRA LENS for GOLF
Ryo Ishikawa (Pro Golfer)
Ten years have passed since his impactful professional debut at age 16 in 2008. He has achieved 14 domestic tour victories since becoming the youngest money leader in 2009 at age 18. He began competing in the United States in 2013. For the 2018 season, he has returned to the domestic tour, embarking on a new stage of his career.
Has been contracted as a SWANS Advisory Staff member since 2008.
Kaori Ohe (Pro Golfer)
Began playing golf at age 7 and passed the professional test on her first attempt after graduating from high school.
Achieved her first tour victory in 2012 and won again in 2016, making her a seeded player with a total of two wins.
Has been contracted as a SWANS Advisory Staff member since 2016.
Joint Development of "ULTRA LENS" with Athletes for Each Sports Category
Based on the color rendering enhancement technology cultivated through the development of ULTRA For Golf, we have collaborated with top athletes to develop lenses with functions and effects tailored to the needs of different sports environments and viewing targets, including "SNOW," "FISHING," and "DRIVING." These will be offered as the ULTRA LENS series.
ULTRA LENS for FISHING
We have developed a new product primarily targeting sight fishing for bass.
The structure is designed so that it does not feel dark even in low-light conditions, such as early morning and evening, or when casting into shaded areas.
The lens color is designed to be gentle on the eyes when viewing the typically greenish-brown waters common in Japan, while the contrast enhancement effect makes it easier to discern underwater conditions.
This is the optimal lens for sight fishing, where concentration on what you see is paramount.
Advisory Staff
Shunsuke Nomura (Pro Angler)
Awarded Angler of the Year in 2017.
Holds the record for the most wins in JB (Japan Bassfishing Association) tournaments.
A pioneer in the Japanese bass fishing scene.
ULTRA LENS for SNOW
Japanese mountain weather is notoriously changeable, and visibility can be poor in conditions involving snow or rain.
In such environments, we have incorporated high-visibility lenses that successfully render terrain contours clearly, even in low-light conditions.
Another significant feature is the lens's ability to help the eyes adapt quickly in scenes where light and shadow change rapidly, such as within tree lines on ski slopes.
We have developed products that demonstrate their true value in situations requiring split-second judgment based on visual information, such as backcountry skiing and mogul competitions.
Advisory Staff
Hisao Endo (Mogul Skier)
A top freestyle ski mogul athlete, he has competed in the Olympics for three consecutive tournaments. In recent years, alongside his competitive career, he has also focused on backcountry skiing and nurturing young talent.
ULTRA LENS for DRIVING
With the concept of "making everyday driving more comfortable and safer," we have developed lenses that, based on the finely tuned vision of racing drivers, cut out uncomfortable glare while providing the necessary visual information for driving on ordinary roads, thus creating a comfortable driving environment.
Advisory Staff
Tetsuya Yamano (Racing Driver)
A top driver boasting a record 114 wins in All Japan Championships (the highest in history).
He possesses exceptional development capabilities and has been involved in the development of various items, including vehicles and parts.
