The evolution of low-heat hair dryers that dry with light. A new sensation that dries quickly while retaining moisture in the hair.
Zuvi Japan has developed a dryer equipped with its patented light-based hair drying technology, LightCare™, inspired by the drying principles of natural light. Starting January 19, 2022, they launched the "Zuvi Halo Light Hair Care Dryer," which achieves even faster drying and hair care.
A Hair Dryer for the Sustainable Era
During the sweaty season, we tend to wash our hair more often for a refreshing feel, but the most tedious part each time is the time it takes to dry it with a hair dryer.
Traditional hot air dryers, which use heat and airflow to dry hair, consume a lot of electricity and heat up the surrounding air, making it uncomfortably hot. If this leads to turning up the air conditioning, it's even worse for the environment.
Furthermore, to avoid heat-induced damage, it's necessary to use care products like hair oils, which incurs both time and financial costs.
Zuvi's proprietary "LightCare™" technology, inspired by the natural drying principles of sunlight and wind, uses infrared light to evaporate water molecules. Combined with airflow, it dries hair intensively by concentrating heat while maintaining a low surface temperature.
Because it dries at a low temperature, it not only prevents heat damage to the hair and scalp but also cares for the hair from the core by retaining sufficient moisture within. You'll feel the hydration immediately after drying. It also suppresses static electricity, leaving hair smoother, shinier, and healthier.
Moreover, with a rated power consumption of 680W, it reduces power usage by approximately 43% compared to conventional 1200W hair dryers (at an ambient temperature of 25°C ±3°C). It's a product that's gentle on both your hair and the environment.
In essence, simply using the Zuvi Halo Light Hair Care Dryer daily contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. If used for five minutes a day instead of a conventional dryer, it can reduce CO2 emissions by 27 kg, equivalent to planting one tree.
Meanwhile, it doesn't neglect the care needed for a beautiful finish. It features five drying modes that cover everything from daily drying to styling, and comes with dedicated accessories, attachments, and a concentrator to meet the needs of various hair types and styles.
It's equipped with an intelligent system that adjusts light and airflow according to the ambient temperature. The light component features 120 layers of titanium coating to block UV rays and emit only safe light, among other thoughtful designs for comfortable and secure use.
Zuvi states that it focuses on developing new technologies based on nature, with a strong emphasis on sustainability that is kind to both people and the environment in terms of both energy efficiency and consumption.
It's wonderful to see technology inspired by nature appearing in home appliances. And it's even more welcome if it's comfortable for people too. We'd actively incorporate it into our lives.
