ROHTO Pharmaceutical's Institute for Fragrance and Sensitivity "BÉLAIR LAB" launches its scent collection.
ROHTO Pharmaceutical's Institute for Fragrance and Sensitivity "BÉLAIR LAB" announces the launch of its scent collection, featuring 13 types of fragrances developed for use in various spaces such as homes, offices, and cars, available as room fragrance sprays and indoor aroma oils.
The "Discovery Set," a five-piece collection of mini room fragrance sprays, will be available on Amazon from December 1, 2020, with the room fragrance sprays and indoor aroma oils launching on January 18, 2021. Amidst the significant lifestyle changes brought about by the spread of COVID-19, leading to more time spent indoors, these items are poised to enrich daily life by stimulating the senses with exquisite scents.
What is BÉLAIR LAB?
"BÉLAIR LAB" opened in May 2019 as a new venture by ROHTO Pharmaceutical. It is an open innovation lab that scientifically examines scents, traditionally described through intuition, using a method called 'sensory design,' and applies these findings to product development and productivity enhancement. ROHTO Pharmaceutical, which has delivered beauty and wellness for over 120 years, is exploring the potential of fragrance as a means to live each day with vitality, both mentally and physically, in our ever-changing society.
With increased time spent indoors due to remote work and self-restraint from going out, making it difficult to shift moods or transition between activities, this product launch stems from a desire to stimulate the senses with scent and support each individual's feelings and actions.
"BÉLAIR LAB" is a brand that rediscovers the value of "scent" and embarks on new challenges. The name combines the French word "BÉL AIR," meaning "beautiful air," with "LAB," signifying a laboratory. It represents a creative lab specializing in fragrance, dedicated to scientifically proving the diverse values of scent and contributing to a richer society.
The fragrances are created through a unique approach combining the highest level of fragrance technology with BÉLAIR LAB's scientific research, led by French perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, known as the "inventor of scents" and an expert in spatial fragrances. This collaboration yields exquisite scents befitting an era that seeks emotional fulfillment.
Precious, high-grade fragrance ingredients, certified by FairWild and Four a.m., are actively employed, chosen by perfumer Christophe Laudamiel, to create sustainable scents. The collection incorporates fresh fragrances that resonate with the Japanese lifestyle, culture, and sensibilities, emphasizing a connection with nature.
The bottles for the room fragrance sprays and indoor aroma oils are crafted from Italian glass, featuring a matte texture reminiscent of ceramic. Their simple, unisex design, combined with a soft texture that fits comfortably in the hand and an elegant presence, gently complements any cherished space.
The Discovery Set comes in mini glass bottles, ideal for portability and usable like an atomizer. Each bottle is labeled with a unique typography design corresponding to the individuality of its scent.
