Offering Guests Both Serenity and Inspiration
The micro-complex "K5," which opened on February 1st, is a large-scale renovation of a former Bank of Japan building constructed in 1923.
Under the concept of "Revitalize - Breathing New Life -," a gathering of innovators from various fields, including hotels, restaurants, and bars, aims to spark the revitalization of Nihonbashi Kabutocho.
The boutique hotel "HOTEL K5" is located on the 2nd to 4th floors of "K5." Although the hotel has a small number of 20 rooms, it aims to be a simple yet sophisticated hotel that appeals to the five senses, with the theme of "Coexistence with Nature in the City."
The architectural and spatial design was overseen by the Stockholm-based architectural partnership "CLAESSON KOIVISTO RUNE." The concept is a timeless design inspired by the natural elements scattered throughout Tokyo, juxtaposed with the profound atmosphere emanating from the 97-year-old historic building. It is also a member of "Design HotelsTM," a global network of high-quality, unique small luxury hotels.
The rooms are available in four types: the premium suite "K5 LOFT," which best expresses the hotel's worldview; the spacious and sophisticated "JUNIOR SUITE"; the standard "K5 ROOM"; and the "STUDIO," suitable for both private and business use. Accommodation rates are expected to range from approximately ¥20,000 to ¥150,000 per night.

The tenants on the B1 and 1st floors of "K5" include "B," the world's first flagship store for the New York-based craft beer brand "Brooklyn Brewery"; "CAVEMAN," a new establishment produced by the popular Meguro restaurant "Kabi"; the library bar "Seien," offering cocktails based on Asian teas and traditional Chinese medicine; and "SWITCH COFFEE," a popular coffee stand with existing locations in Meguro and Yoyogi-Hachiman, opening its third branch. A collection of highly anticipated establishments.
Expectations are high for this commercial facility to bring a new dynamism to the financial district of Nihonbashi Kabutocho.
