Chapter Three: A Journey to the Heart of Bali
Amankila: Blissful Moments by the Sea
Once you put on your swimsuit, all you need to bring is your camera.──When visiting an Aman, we want to actively pursue the experiences we dream of. Amankila, the resort that concludes our Bali hopping tour, offers a full menu of unique and abundant activities. Let's embark on the "SNORKELING AND CRUISING ON AMAN XII" departing from the lobby at 9:15 AM.

Harmony of Nature and Culture
"Amankila's design, by architect Ed Tuttle, is a testament to blending with nature, minimizing disruption to the ecosystem and never interfering with its energy," says General Manager Claudia.
"Amankila is characterized by a high rate of repeat guests, with an average stay of three nights. Sixty percent of our staff are local residents. While we adhere to Aman's universal service manual, our motto at Amankila is 'service from the heart, like offering a gift to the gods.'
"Service has no value unless it comes from a genuine desire to welcome guests, and our staff add their own touches to the service recipe, providing an experience that feels like coming home. This is rooted in founder Adrian Zecha's concept that 'Aman is the furthest home,'" Claudia explains.
"Furthermore, all three Amans in Bali cherish the coexistence of nature and culture. Culture is represented by offerings and festivals, while nature encompasses the environment, including our guests. By balancing these, we enhance Aman's presence on Bali."
Cruising on a Traditional Outrigger Boat
Among the extensive activities, Claudia and the guest assistants recommended the snorkeling and cruising course, with a smile, "Once you put on your swimsuit, all you need to bring is your camera."
Cruises depart twice daily, morning and afternoon, at 9:15 AM and 1:00 PM respectively, from the lobby. A short drive takes you to the fishing village of Padang Bai, where you'll board a Jukung, a traditional Balinese outrigger boat.
The "Aman XII," owned by Amankila, is a 50-foot vessel that cruises the east coast in the morning and afternoon. The "Aman XVI," a 40-foot boat, is also available for private charters.
The boat is equipped with bath towels, sunscreen, snorkeling gear, drinks, and snacks, offering the convenience of needing only your swimsuit and camera. Our tour included lunch after snorkeling.
As we cruise, we gaze back at Amankila from the sea, eventually reaching shallow waters. Colorful reef fish can be seen in the shallows near Amankila, and guests can enjoy snorkeling under the guidance of the staff. The morning cruise lasts approximately three hours.
Our Most Popular Activity: A Romantic Dinner
Amankila's most popular activity is the "PRIVATE DINNER ON THE BEACH." Guests can choose their preferred location, such as the beach club or poolside, where a dedicated chef and waiter will serve a romantic dinner at a table adorned with candles and flowers. After the meal, you can relax in a bale (gazebo).
With its stunning three-tiered pool, beach club overlooking the Indian Ocean, and snorkeling and cruising excursions on its own boats, Amankila offers a wealth of water activities. We hope you will carry the unforgettable view of the Indian Ocean in your heart.
