Jazz Singer akiko to Hold Live Performances in Tokyo and Osaka
akiko, known as the first Japanese female singer on the prestigious Verve label, will hold live performances in Osaka on October 23rd (Tuesday) and in Tokyo on October 25th (Thursday), in support of her latest album "Dark Eyes," released this August.

Nostalgic Standard Numbers Too
Debuting in 2001 with the album "Girl Talk," akiko has established her unique style by absorbing not only authentic jazz but also a variety of genres including electronica, Brazilian, R&B, and even rock. She has worked with producers such as Tatsuo Sunaga and Yasuharu Konishi, and has frequently collaborated with domestic and international artists, drawing attention as a vocalist who displays a wide range of expressions.
In August, she also released her latest album "Dark Eyes," recorded in New Orleans with local musicians, her first in nine months. The album features 11 tracks in total, including beloved standard numbers like "Dark Eyes" and "Bei Mir Bist Du Shoen," as well as songs sung in Japanese, a rarity for her.
The live performances will feature songs from her latest album, alongside a repertoire that showcases her diverse genre influences. Spend a luxurious autumn evening immersed in the sophisticated sounds of akiko's voice.
