The 70th "2016 SPRING/SUMMER Yohji Yamamoto Paris Collection," held at the Paris City Hall—famous for General de Gaulle's speech on the liberation of Paris in 1944—by designer Yohji Yamamoto, who freely navigates between Eastern and Western styles and forms, always seeking change.
A documentary DVD capturing the proceedings of this highly successful collection has been completed. The film, divided into four chapters, offers a rare glimpse into the world of designer Yohji Yamamoto, from model casting and the unique process of arranging clothes on the floor to the backstage moments just before the show, where every second is devoted to pursuing ultimate beauty. The visual artistry, captured in high-definition 4K, showcasing the interplay of light and shadow resonating richly within the silence, is breathtaking.
The documentary DVD is available only to those who purchase products at Yohji Yamamoto / Yohji Yamamoto+NOIR stores nationwide. This campaign begins on Friday, April 29th (public holiday), and will be distributed to all purchasers in limited quantities.
