Harajuku, centered around the Jingu-mae crossing, is transformed into a virtual space.

An event, "Virtual Harajuku au 5G POP DAY OUT 2021," will be held to commemorate the expansion of the Virtual Shibuya area to Harajuku. It will feature talks by special guests and fashion stores. This promises to be a uniquely Harajuku event. The period is from Tuesday, May 25, 2021, to Monday, May 31, 2021.

A unique town breeds unique people. Many special guests with ties to Harajuku will appear.

"Virtual Shibuya," the official Shibuya Ward streaming platform, celebrates its first anniversary. It has hosted various events, including music concerts, in the virtual space.
The virtual area has now been expanded, with a new area in Harajuku, centered around the Jingu-mae crossing, set to open.

To commemorate this, the event "Virtual Harajuku au 5G POP DAY OUT 2021" will be held.
The "POP DAY OUT 2021 Opening Event" will feature a lineup of special guests, including comedian Panther Mukai, Ryucheru (who rose to fame from being a Harajuku shop staffer), Neo (a model and video creator with over 4.8 million total social media followers), and Ryo Ogata (born into a show business family, son of actor Naoto Ogata and grandson of Ken Ogata, who studied fashion abroad). They will engage in various talks.
Additionally, a special movie will be screened featuring Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, an icon of Harajuku, and Neo, with whom she is collaborating for the first time. They will discuss their recommended Harajuku spots.
Furthermore, under the theme "CREATING NEW POP CULTURE," numerous guests representing Harajuku, where various cultures such as "fashion," "music," "art," and "diversity" mix colorfully, will appear. The content will be a blend of past Harajuku culture and cutting-edge technology.

Bringing the fashion district's atmosphere into the virtual world

In this virtual transformation, Laforet Harajuku, a landmark of Harajuku, will open as "Virtual Laforet Harajuku."
