The "Shibuya 5G Entertainment Project" offers a virtual Shibuya experience, led by KDDI, the Shibuya Future Design organization, and the Shibuya Tourism Association. It has proposed various online content utilizing new technologies.various online content
Due to the impact of COVID-19 and infection prevention measures, visitors are requested to refrain from coming to Shibuya Ward during the 2020 Halloween period. Instead, the "Virtual Shibuya au 5G Halloween Fest" will be held on the official Shibuya Ward streaming platform, "Virtual Shibuya."
"Virtual Shibuya" is a space built in a virtual environment to deliver Shibuya-esque content. It recreates iconic spots like the Shibuya Scramble Crossing and hosts live performances by artists and art exhibitions.
Utilizing 5G and cutting-edge technology, it's an entertainment experience for the 5G era that can be accessed from anywhere, transcending traditional constraints of time and place.
This event welcomes guests to a Halloween-themed Shibuya. A variety of events are planned during the period.
The Virtual Shibuya Halloween Fest will host an avatar costume contest. The judge will be popular VTuber "Mirai Akari." Top contestants will receive luxurious prizes.
Additionally, music live performances by artists including "Kyary Pamyu Pamyu," and comedy shows by popular Yoshimoto Kogyo comedians "Wagyu," "Aiseki Start," and "Nanama Gari" will be held.
KidZania will host a Halloween parade. Enjoy the Halloween spirit from home in the festive, Halloween-themed virtual Shibuya. A virtual live event in collaboration with the popular E-tele program "Bit World" will also be held. There are plenty of events to satisfy children as well.
Furthermore, unique virtual experiences not possible in the real world are available, including the puzzle-solving event "Invitation to the Virtual Shibuya Mayor's Office," the "Trick or Treat Hunt" where you can win a free Krispy Kreme donut by finding hidden characters in the Halloween-decorated town, the "Halloween Photo Booth" for photos with popular characters, and the virtual cinema "Netflix Cinema."
