Toyota Motor Corporation is launching a premium craft tea, "MORIZO TEA." It will be available from July 14th at "LEXUS MEETS..." and "INTERSECT BY LEXUS."

The Concept: "Morizo Drinks the Forest"
Inspired by the majestic nature surrounding the Fuji Speedway, a premium craft tea has been born from the concept "Morizo Drinks the Forest," conceived by Morizo, also known as Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation.
"MORIZO TEA" was planned and supervised by Yumiko Kinko, a tea creator and representative of Hearts ease Co., Ltd., and manufactured by The Tea Company, known for its many bottled craft teas.
Carefully extracted pesticide-free, carefully selected Shizuoka-grown green tea to maximize its umami and subtle astringency, blended with ingredients like fragrant olive and Japanese pepper that evoke the feeling of a forest, creating a soft, gentle lingering aftertaste.
At "LEXUS MEETS..." in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, an afternoon tea service by reservation only and an assorted set without reservation are also available.
The afternoon tea offers "MORIZO TEA" alongside savory dishes that evoke a sense of Japan, such as white miso gratin, seasonal dressed vegetables, and black soybean mascarpone monaka, as well as a shaved ice dessert supervised by Shuggetsudo, a signature menu item.

The assorted set, on the other hand, seems to offer a rich time to be enjoyed like wine, along with items such as Gokaido dango, Basque cheesecake, and seasonal fruit tarts.
The assorted set, available by reservation at "INTERSECT BY LEXUS" in Minami Aoyama, is also served. You can enjoy sweets such as white sesame scones, aged sake lees cannelés, and Uji matcha cheesecake, as well as savory items like dried tomato sansho sablé and house-made brioche sandwiches with miso pork rillettes.

"MORIZO TEA" also has an "experiential SDGs" aspect, with a portion of its sales contributing to regional afforestation activities to preserve the natural environment around Fuji Speedway, Toyota's motorsports hub, for future generations.
