A Cafe Lounge Celebrating Japanese Sweets and Regional Charms
Toyota Motor Corporation has reopened "LEXUS MEETS..." in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. It has been reborn as a cafe lounge where guests can enjoy Japanese sweets and the allure of various regions across Japan, imbued with the vision of Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo.

The concept of "Michi" (road) is about connecting regions, supporting lifestyles, and fostering human connections. The revamped "LEXUS MEETS..." aims to be a place where people can spend their time comfortably and with smiles, reflecting on the warm connections with people and regions that roads and cars have woven.
"LEXUS MEETS..." has made "Japanese Sweets" its signature menu, serving as an entryway to the charms that lie beyond the roads yet to be discovered.
From Hibiya, the menu features "Hibiya Go-kaido Dango," representing regions encountered along the five highways with the distinct color and flavor of each bean paste, and shaved ice from "Shugetsudo," a sweet shop in Gamagori, Aichi, which Morizo found solace in during the pandemic.
Beyond sweets, the menu also offers options for various times of day, such as the lunch set "Black Cod and Seasonal Root Vegetables with Saikyo Miso Marinade" and the snack "Hummus with Seasonal Vegetables and Red Miso Dip."
Additionally, under the "Toyota x Michi Selection," limited-time menus featuring local specialties are planned.
Furthermore, guests can enjoy "MORIZO SPECIAL" drinks, including coffee supervised by Japan's leading racing driver Kamui Kobayashi, who states, "Coffee before a race is indispensable," and unique beverages made with seasonal fruits that Morizo regularly enjoys.
The interior is spacious, featuring art pieces that evoke "Michi" and the world beyond, creating a comfortable, lounge-like atmosphere that harmonizes with the ever-changing scenery of Hibiya.
The displays surrounding the space are themed around the diverse climates and craftsmanship of each region, divided into nine areas across the country. They showcase works of local artisans and objets d'art made from vehicle parts produced throughout Japan, symbolizing "car manufacturing as the culmination of skills from artisans in each prefecture."
In addition, the rear section of the cafe lounge is designed for flexible layout changes and is planned to be utilized for future events and public viewings.
"LEXUS MEETS..." also offers test drives. In addition to short courses up to 90 minutes, there are also extended courses of up to 7 hours designed to savor the time spent enjoying the roads along with the seasonal and regional charms. It is a place that proposes diverse experiences through "Michi," not just Japanese sweets.
