Catering to Diverse Needs, from Meals to Sweets and Drinks

Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, which opened in December 2019 with the concept of "Shibuya where adults can enjoy themselves," now welcomes "Kyoto Uji Fujii Myoen," which offers the flavors of Uji tea in various forms.
The tea leaves used in our meals and sweets are from "Kyoto Uji Fujii Tea Garden," cultivated in Uji for over 480 years since the Tenbun era. The interior, with its dignified Japanese ambiance and modern furnishings, creates a comfortable atmosphere where guests can not only enjoy tea but also dine and indulge in sweets, catering to a variety of occasions.
For meals, we offer "Cha Kaiseki Zen," a set meal that allows you to enjoy Kyoto's obanzai (traditional side dishes) made with meat, fish, and vegetables, chosen according to your mood of the day, along with tea. We also serve udon, soba, and ochazuke (rice with tea) made with generous amounts of Uji tea.
Our sweets menu features a wide array of items made with matcha and hojicha. Indulge in the "Uji Matcha Brulee Parfait" and "Hojicha Brulee Parfait," with their caramelized, golden-brown surfaces, as well as shaved ice, zenzai (sweet red bean soup), warabi mochi (bracken starch dumplings), and cakes – a truly delightful selection.
Of course, Uji tea is synonymous with matcha. The tea leaves, carefully hand-picked during the early May new tea season, are immediately transported to the factory, steamed, and dried in brick "Tencha ro" kilns to produce raw Tencha. This raw Tencha is then refined and ground using traditional stone mills to create the usucha (thin tea) served at "Kyoto Uji Fujii Myoen."
In addition, we offer six types of tea year-round, including sencha and genmaicha with matcha, which express the elegant, mellow umami and sweetness unique to Uji tea. We also serve alcoholic beverages such as matcha beer and matcha sparkling wine.
"Kyoto Uji Fujii Myoen" allows you to savor meticulously crafted teas with all your senses, while upholding tradition. It is sure to offer diverse moments of relaxation for adults.
