From Friday, January 10, 2020, Conrad Tokyo will launch the "Strawberry Sweetheart Afternoon Tea" at the "Twenty Eight" bar and lounge, featuring a generous use of Japanese strawberries. The event runs until Saturday, February 29.

Conrad Tokyo's mid-winter afternoon tea features heart-inspired sweets and savories. Inspired by the feelings for loved ones, the plump loveliness of strawberries, and their vibrant red hue for the first Valentine's Day of the Reiwa era, items are crafted into heart motifs using strawberries and sweets.

The title "Sweetheart" also carries the meaning of the word, used for loved ones, family, friends, or someone you have a good impression of.

All items use fresh, seasonal Japanese strawberries and carefully selected premium ingredients. The plate, adorned in vibrant red and pink, showcases photogenic and original sweets and savories.

The menu includes the "Chocolate Brownie with Black Tea Bonbon Chocolat," its glossy red heart captivating the eye, and the "Strawberry Tart with White Chocolate Cream and Raspberry Mousse," adorned with pink and white heart-shaped meringues, offering a delightful balance of strawberry's sweet-tartness and a delicate, profound flavor.

Among these, the pastry chef's recommended "Strawberry and Rose Jelly" is a visually stunning creation, encasing a real rosebud.

The cute "Strawberry and Cream Cheese Cone" features a vibrant pink strawberry cream cheese piped into a beet-colored cone, offering a rich flavor with a hint of black pepper. Other offerings include "Strawberry, Prosciutto, and Mozzarella Cheese Pinchos with Balsamic Sauce" and "Pâté de Campagne and Berry Compote Open Sandwich."
