Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA's Mouton Cadet brand has launched "Mouton Cadet Rouge Organic by Pierre," an innovative red wine, in Japan.

The latest release is a red wine with an entirely new concept, named after Pierre Augrenau de Rothschild, the great-grandson of founder Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

Born in 1994, Pierre Augrenau de Rothschild carries the weight of the maison's long history while embracing the responsibility of shaping its future with fresh ideas.

The newly created bottle offers a modern and vibrant interpretation of Bordeaux Merlot. By blending winemaking techniques for rosé and red wine, it achieves a delicate, sharp body that departs from the traditional robust structure, while preserving the fruit's brilliance. Four months of aging at low temperatures maximizes its potential.

Most notably, it is proposed as a "red wine to be drunk chilled," overturning conventional Bordeaux wisdom. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10°C, to be chilled in the refrigerator before serving. Certified organic and vegan, it features a light, fruity taste with subdued tannins.

It redefines the traditional image of heavy, powerful Bordeaux red wines, emphasizing bright fruitiness and fresh acidity. The vibrant flavors of redcurrant, strawberry, and raspberry harmonize with herbal notes of sage and rosemary, creating a taste that balances refreshment with depth.

It begins with aromas of sage and wild strawberry, and as it opens up, notes of red berries like redcurrant, strawberry, and raspberry emerge, along with a touch of rosemary. On the palate, a fresh and delicate attack of redcurrant unfolds into a finely structured development of strawberry and raspberry flavors, culminating in a refreshing and highly aromatic finish with notes of red fruit and mint.
