Tokyo Marriott Hotel's "Christmas Cake & Bread 2019" to Brighten Your Festive Season
At "Pastry & Bakery GGCo." on the first floor of Tokyo Marriott Hotel, three types each of Christmas cakes and stollen, designed to brilliantly adorn the festive season, will be available. Reservations are being accepted until Sunday, December 15, 2019. The pickup period is from Friday, December 20 to Wednesday, December 25.
Christmas Cakes and Stollen with a Japanese Accent for Special Moments
At Tokyo Marriott Hotel, under the theme "Dazzling - A Time Filled with Radiance -", a dazzling array of Christmas items, including Christmas cakes accented with Japanese ingredients and the ever-popular stollen, will be available to enjoy the holiday season.
The Christmas cake "Fromage Prune" is an exceptionally striking raw cheesecake with a smooth texture, shaped like a fragment of snow falling from the sky. Inside, a jelly made with Nanko plums and tropical Okinawan mango offers a fragrant taste woven from fruits.
The eye-catchingly lustrous Marriott Red "Brilliant Souvenir" offers an adult flavor with a chocolate mousse and hazelnut that smell of caramel, accented with sansho pepper. Savor the exquisite marriage of the refreshing tartness of raspberry, the rich and elegant sweetness of the chocolate mousse, and the subtle spice of sansho.
The popular shortcake, loved by all generations, is American-style. The pure white chantilly cream, with its reduced sweetness, is generously topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, allowing you to enjoy the gentle sweetness of the fluffy, melting chantilly cream and the sweet and tart taste of the berries.
The hotel's original stollen, a perennial favorite, is an adult delicacy with a rich flavor and aroma. It's made with plenty of raisins, figs, oranges, and other dried fruits, along with several kinds of nuts such as pecans and walnuts, kneaded into the dough and infused with "Maker's Mark" bourbon and three types of spices. The marzipan, a vibrant Marriott Red cranberry hidden inside, allows you to enjoy the evolving taste as it matures over time.
The "Dark Stollen" is a chocolate-flavored variation of the original stollen, offering a more bitter taste. The dough, kneaded with chestnuts and figs steeped in fragrant brandy and rum, is combined with aromatic French Valrhona cocoa nibs and cocoa powder, creating a rich and fragrant flavor experience.
And new for 2019 is the "Matcha Stollen." This creation features a dough with a refined matcha flavor, kneaded with large-grained azuki beans, black beans, and generous chunks of chestnut, offering a moist texture and the delightful chew of flavorful chestnuts and black beans.
