A layered, elegant aroma and a deep, mellow flavor

Asahi Shuzo celebrated its 100th anniversary in May 2020 and the 35th anniversary of the "Kubota" brand. To commemorate this anniversary year, and in response to the growing global popularity of sake and the desire for a special sake to mark life's milestones, they created "Kubota Manju Jikoso Jikomi," a new sake that embodies the dedication and unique techniques cultivated over 35 years.
"Kubota Manju Jikoso Jikomi" is a sake that emphasizes three key elements: sake rice, polishing method, and in-house yeast. Using "Gohyakumangoku" sake rice, which brewery workers personally cultivated, and an in-house developed polishing technique called "genkei seimai" to achieve a 40% rice polishing ratio, it was brewed with an in-house developed yeast strain cultivated over many years.
The result is a sake with a layered, elegant aroma and a deep, mellow flavor. While possessing a distinct presence, it finishes with a remarkably clean and crisp aftertaste.
The design echoes that of "Kubota Manju," while also being refined to suit celebratory occasions. Each bottle is hand-sealed, and the gift box, designed in a deep, dark brown to harmonize with the bottle, features washi paper applied in the same manner as the bottle, enhancing its sense of quality and luxury.
This is the ultimate "Kubota," perfect for life's milestones such as coming of age, weddings, or celebrating a 60th birthday.
