"GINZA MUSIC BAR" was established in Ginza, Tokyo, in 2014 by Shinichi Osawa and Nobuhiro Toba, producer of "COFFEE." It has captivated guests both domestically and internationally by proposing a unique musical experience that is neither a club nor a traditional record bar.
Located in Shijo Kiyamachi, the vibrant center of Kyoto where tradition and innovation coexist, the Kyoto branch has opened as a "music bar for a new era" where music, food, and conversation intersect. While the Ginza branch is a bar space that illuminates the night, the Kyoto branch operates from noon to midnight, offering bistro cuisine and omakase sushi courses. Centered around music, it achieves an unparalleled endeavor to expand dining and cultural experiences.
The space features a fusion of proprietary developed speakers and vintage equipment. It is a meticulously crafted environment designed to maximize the power of music and create a unique experience, embodying a new style that belongs neither to clubs nor record bars.
By combining original speakers with unique acoustic design, alongside vintage turntables and amplifiers, the space meticulously reproduces every detail of the sound, creating a clear and rich acoustic environment.
Boasting over 7,000 carefully selected analog records from around the world, the collection spans a wide range of genres including rock, jazz, soul, disco, hip-hop, world music, and film scores.
The bistro dining offers Mexican cuisine, utilizing a wide variety of spices and herbs, fused with the meticulous cooking techniques and aesthetic presentation of a bistro. The dishes, enjoyable for both taste and sight, resonate with the curated drinks and the world of music, providing guests with a new sensory experience.
Furthermore, noteworthy is "THE OMAKASE," a sushi counter with a strict reservation policy and only six seats. Here, a chef trained in Michelin three-star restaurants offers courses featuring seasonal ingredients. These innovative yet warm dishes, which color the Kyoto experience, seem to reflect the culture and history that permeate the city.
The Kiyamachi area of Kyoto has been gaining attention as a new cultural hub centered on music, with the opening of "FUL," a music lounge conceptualized by Tomoyuki Tanaka of FPM, in July 2024.Music Lounge "FUL"This area is drawing attention as a new cultural space centered on music.
With the advent of "GINZA MUSIC BAR KYOTO," it is evident that Kiyamachi, traditionally known as a geisha district, is beginning to radiate a new charm as a hub for contemporary music culture.
