Designed for "six everyday scenes." Japanese tea bags made with the highest quality tea leaves | Susumaya Chaten
Susumaya Chaten
The aroma and umami of Japanese tea greatly influence the mood. Also, pay attention to the beautiful packaging.
Susumaya Chaten, with stores in Kagoshima and Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, is a specialty shop that handles only the highest quality tea leaves, which they define as "Special Grade Japanese Tea." While fully conveying the charm of Japanese tea through their own content, they also offer proposals that fit modern lifestyles. Today, we would like to introduce their tea bags, designed for everyday scenes.

Susumaya Chaten began in 2012, branching off from a tea wholesaler in Kagoshima that has been in business since the Taisho era. They handle only tea leaves that meet their own high standards, proposing ways to enjoy top-tier Japanese tea experiences on a daily basis.
Tea bags are one such offering. Under the theme of how Japanese tea can support people during the COVID-19 pandemic, six varieties were created: "Relaxation," "Refresh," "Calm," "Rest," "Focus," and "Bliss." Each uses tea leaves from Kagoshima, guiding the drinker toward their desired mood through aroma and umami. While the cleanup of used tea leaves is often a hassle with Japanese tea, the convenience of tea bags is also a welcome feature.
The beautiful packaging was handled by Papier Labo, a company that deals with paper and paper-related products. Available in single servings, packs of 7, and packs of 20 (only "Rest" comes in packs of 1 and 5, and 15), they are perfect for New Year's greetings or as small gifts.
