Floral Arrangements Matching Each Flavor's World Are a Must-See

The popular "Jardin Series" at Pierre Hermé Paris is a macaron collection themed around "jardin" (French for garden). It's a special series where a different flavor is introduced each month, available for only one month.

For this collaboration, meticulous preparations were made, including Pierre Hermé sending Makoto Azuma a list of flavors he devised to allow Azuma to fully exercise his imagination before production began.

Some flavors, like meadowsweet and basil flower, were direct inspirations, while others were left entirely to Azuma's interpretation. The "2015 Jardin Series" was born from this project, progressing smoothly through mutual creative trust, where the unique impression of each macaron perfectly matched Azuma's artistic sensibilities as a floral artist.

The first macaron in the series for April is "Jardin du Nord-Est," full of playfulness and delicacy. It combines Brazilian Iapar Rouge coffee and candied ginger, opening new horizons for coffee. In May, a macaron featuring lucuma, a Peruvian fruit also known as "golden Inca fruit," will be created.

Other offerings include "Jardin du Soleil" (July), which allows you to enjoy the marriage of olive oil and lemon, and other artistic macarons born from bold ideas, presented monthly. Of particular note is "Jardin Zen," appearing in November. This is Pierre Hermé's ambitious creation, boldly fusing pure black chocolate from Brazil's Paineras farm with Japanese white miso.

The visuals, a fusion of the "Pierre Hermé 2015 Jardin Series" and Makoto Azuma's floral arrangements tailored to each flavor, are also a sight to behold. Each piece expresses a distinct world, captivating the viewer's heart in an instant.
