Bite-sized Dolce for Gifting to Family and Loved Ones

"Praline" was born from founder Franco's desire to allow people to enjoy gelato even in winter, a season when many gelaterias in Milan typically close, and to bring the sophisticated Italian dolce culture closer to home.

In Italy, where family bonds are cherished, people gather at the homes of family and close friends to celebrate the holiday season. "Praline," designed to enhance this festive time, is a bite-sized dolce made by shaping Gelateria Marghera's popular gelato into a semi-circle and coating it with chocolate.

In addition to the regular packaging, a special Valentine's Day package featuring the design of Gelateria Marghera's gelato itself will be available in late January 2015. This limited edition set includes four new chocolate flavors and the popular pistachio.


The new autumn/winter flavors include Fig, made with whole domestic figs; Apple Cinnamon, using the domestic apple variety 'Kougyoku' caramelized with its skin; Milk & Herb, a blend of the No.1 most popular milk flavor at the Milan store with rosemary and sage; Cassis, a Japan-exclusive flavor with a rich taste; and Cream Cheese, which pairs exceptionally well with fruit-based flavors. These five new additions join the lineup.
