A Stylish, New Matcha Experience in a Space Embraced by Kyoto's Ambiance

For over 150 years since its founding, the Kyoto-based "Tsujiri" has cherished and passed down the spirit of its founder, "Tsujiri Uemon," who laid the foundation for Uji tea, now synonymous with high-grade tea.

The newly opened store features an impressive setup with rotating stone mills and is divided into three distinct areas: a "Cafe," a "Personal Gift (Souvenir)" space, and the "Tsujiri Salon."

The aim is to create a space where visitors can fully savor the allure of "matcha"—a moment of bliss that brings ease and tranquility to mind and body—while experiencing the tradition of this long-established brand.

The cafe space offers innovative menu items crafted with Uji matcha produced using traditional methods. A rich selection of drinks and sweets includes exquisite Kyoto lattes that highlight the matcha's flavor, the "Kyoto Latte Smoothie Yatsuhashi" created in collaboration with the renowned Kyoto confectionary Yatsuhashi, Tsujiri soft-serve ice cream, Uji green tea, and cup desserts. Fresh matcha, ground on-site with rotating stone mills, will also be served.

The personal gift space features a curated selection of items, from popular rusks and nama-yatsuhashi to premium gyokuro tea leaves and casual powdered teas. The salon space showcases the brand's history spanning over 150 years since its founding in the first year of Man'en.

Experience a novel matcha sensation, unique to "Tsujiri," which continues to explore new possibilities for tea while upholding traditional manufacturing methods.
