Sandwiches, Papaya, and Freshly Brewed Coffee
Brazil, a football powerhouse, observes school and work holidays on match days, with the entire nation rallying behind their team. Simultaneously, it boasts a history of welcoming numerous immigrants, resulting in a complex culture that blends Indigenous Indian traditions with European, African, and Asian influences.
The traditional Brazilian breakfast is known as "Café da Manhã," which literally translates to "morning coffee" in Portuguese. This menu features sandwiches filled with mortadella, salami, and mozzarella, served on unique Brazilian breads baked in "padarias" – bakeries integral to Brazilian life. It also includes an abundance of fruits like papaya, and of course, the indispensable freshly brewed coffee that Brazil is known for.
Other offerings include "Pão de Queijo," a chewy bread made from cassava, a staple food of Indigenous peoples; "Bolo de Fubá," a cornmeal cake; and "Romeu e Julieta," a dish combining Minas cheese with Goiabada, a guava paste similar to Japanese yokan. For beverages, the menu features "Vitamina," a popular morning drink made by blending fruits with milk.
Additionally, cooking classes and workshops related to Brazil will be held during this period. Why not embark on a journey to Brazil, a country currently capturing the world's attention, starting with its breakfast?
