Flensburger Springbock Draft Beer
“Beer must be made only from malt, hops, water, and yeast.”—The German Purity Law, enacted on April 23, 1516, in Bavaria, has been upheld through the ages, and German brewers continue to create beer in accordance with this law. Flensburger, a long-established German beer brand, is one of them. While Springbock is typically only available in bottles in Germany, a special custom order for draft beer has been produced for Zato Trading, the Japanese importer. It will be available from Saturday, April 26th, at their directly managed restaurants.

The True Pleasure of German Beer: Savoring the Pure Flavor of Its Ingredients
Hops' bitterness, malt's sweetness, yeast's flavor, and water. This is a beer with a unique character, best savored through direct import from Germany. In particular, the Flensburger Springbock, served on draft for this occasion, boasts a pleasant 6.9% alcohol content and a refreshing hop bitterness and aroma derived solely from aroma hops.
The "Bock" in "Flensburger Frühlingsbock" is a general term for beers with a high alcohol content. These beers are characterized by their deep, rich flavor. Historically, due to the lack of refrigeration, beer was brewed during the winter using malt harvested in the autumn. Beers like Bock, with their profound taste, require long aging periods to mature. It is said that around May, in the midst of spring, these beers reached their peak deliciousness after this maturation period, giving rise to the name "Springbock."
Furthermore, Flensburger Springbock received a Silver Award at the International Craft Beer Competition held in Dublin, Ireland, this past February.
