West Coast Brewing, located in the fishing port of Munam, Shizuoka City, opened its directly managed hotel, "The Villa & Barrel Lounge," on July 1, 2022, directly across from its craft brewery, with the concept of "staying at a brewery."

Nestled amidst the natural beauty of mountains and sea, West Coast Brewing aims to recreate the craft beer culture of the owner's home country, the United States, in Japan.

The newly opened "The Villa & Barrel Lounge" features five guest rooms. The first floor houses a taproom where guests can enjoy around 10 types of fresh craft beer at any time. A barrel lounge is also available for tasting rare "barrel-aged beers" that have been aged in barrels over time.

The architectural design of the hotel was handled by the representative and architect, Derek Buston. The Villa is a renovation of a building that housed a French restaurant loved for over 30 years. The murals and unreleased artworks found throughout the hotel are also highlights.

There are three key points to note about your stay.

First, each guest room is equipped with a beer tap, offering unlimited beer up to 10 liters for overnight guests. This is a special feature that fulfills the dream of beer lovers: "beer from the tap." Special brews exclusive to hotel guests are available, and guests can even take beer home in their own growlers (available with the all-you-can-drink beer plan).

Second, guests can fully enjoy West Coast Brewing's beers in their rooms. The mini-bar refrigerator in each room is stocked with a variety of canned beers (for a fee), including rare and hard-to-find labels. The lineup is a surprise revealed only upon opening the door.

Third, guests can sample barrel-aged beers, which West Coast Brewing focuses on producing alongside its weekly releases. A new barrel lounge, adjacent to the taproom on the first floor, offers tastings for a fee. In the future, these will be released in limited quantities as a special new label.

The taproom, which had been adjacent to the brewery since its founding, has moved to the first floor of the hotel. Open to non-guests as well, it offers around 10 types of fresh craft beer from the brewery across the street, served from 16 taps.

Additionally, starting in July, the taproom will operate continuously from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Villa's original American-style breakfast menu is perfect with beer in the morning or with the expertly brewed coffee. Mexican specialties are also served during dinner, offering a delightful pairing with their beers. *Outside food is prohibited in the taproom starting in July.

The brewery across the street offers "Brewery Tour" on weekends, providing a detailed explanation of "How WCB Beers Are Made" within the actual brewing facility. Anyone, whether staying at the hotel or not, can participate by booking in advance through the official website. (Fee applies / includes a souvenir beer).
