A playful design featuring a fox in a rider's jacket
In the early 1800s, absinthe was a highly popular aperitif in France. It had become such a ritual for artists of the time to gather in Parisian cafes in the evening, converse over absinthe, that its production, distribution, and sale were legally prohibited in France in 1915 for various reasons. The ban was finally lifted in the 21st century.
Pernod Absinthe, known as the "green fairy" and beloved by French artists of the 19th century, has returned to its traditional recipe from its birth in 1805. The label has also been redesigned to evoke its historical past, with a renewed release starting in March.
This design bottle was created to commemorate the launch of "Is Leaving," a new short documentary series by Maison Kitsuné, inspired by Pernod Absinthe.
The video, themed around "music & travel," features the popular band IS TROPICAL. The fox depicted on the bottle wears their trademark rider's jacket, and the design is a playful finish adorned with colorful flowers and dots.
