New "Adults Only" Menu from Milan's Esteemed Gelateria Marghera


From Gelateria Marghera, the Milanese institution renowned for its gelato, comes a new creation for adults, launching on April 1st (Tuesday). To commemorate this release, the Emporio Armani Caffè Aoyama, also a Milan import, will offer an exclusive preview of the new menu until March 20th (Thursday).

Where Gelato Meets Liqueur


Founded in 1979 by gelato artisan Franco M. Pravettoni,Gelateria Margherapioneered the concept of a dedicated gelato shop. Its gelato, crafted with fresh, seasonal ingredients using traditional methods, quickly garnered immense popularity among Milanese locals. Reportedly attracting up to 3,000 customers daily, the shop's queues would even cause "traffic jams" on weekends.

Following its overseas debut in Azabu-Juban last July, the Atre Ebisu store opened in November. Over 60 flavors, including Japan-exclusive matcha, adzuki bean, and almond jelly, are made fresh each morning, bringing the authentic taste of Milan to Japan.

The newly launched menu features limited-edition creations for discerning Japanese adults, incorporating liqueurs. Two types are available: "Gelato Extra Shot," an affogato-style dessert where a chosen liqueur from seven varieties is poured over freshly scooped gelato, and "Liquorino," a parfait combining gelato with fresh fruits and liqueur.

Ahead of the official launch of these two new creations at Gelateria Marghera on April 1st (Tuesday), they are available for a special preview at Emporio Armani Caffè until March 20th (Thursday). Alongside the regular menu item "Milk & Chocolate with Chocolate Liqueur and Fruits," a White Day special, "White Chocolate & Strawberry with Vodka and Berries," will be offered from March 8th (Saturday) to 15th (Saturday).

Milanese often visit a gelateria after dinner to savor gelato and conversation, extending the pleasure of a meal with family and friends. These new desserts, born from a desire to introduce this cherished Milanese custom to Japan, promise to enhance those special adult moments.
